GHPN Kids Go Farm to Table

What a Year! A Huge Thank You to Elisabeth Kent from MovingPotential

What an incredible year it’s been for the children of Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood, thanks to the amazing Elisabeth Kent of MovingPotential. Picture this: a joyful crew of kids wielding (child-safe) knives and cutting boards, whipping up fruit salads, yogurt parfaits, homemade pickles, breadsticks, oatmeal cookies, rainbow rolls, ice cream, and more!

For the daily after-school program, the children got to choose their activity—and Elisabeth’s cooking group was overflowing with eager young chefs. After preparing the day’s recipe, they’d welcome the photography group to enjoy a snack made with pride and love by their peers and take home the recipe for their families.

To cap off the year, Elisabeth brought the group to Nimble Roots Farm, where they wandered through wildflowers, petted goats, tasted fresh arugula, and marveled at baby sorghum. It was a magical ending to a nourishing season.

From every heart at GHPN and MovingPotential: thank you, Elisabeth—for your patience, your creativity, your gentle leadership, and the joy you so generously share. You’ve left a lasting impression on these young lives, and we are deeply grateful.
