Program Updates

Our dedicated team of teachers is actively engaged in various community initiatives, including educational programs at the Columbia County Jail, ReEntry/Columbia, Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood, Greene County Correctional Facility, and Samaritan Daytop Village.

Many of our educators have undergone training with Leah Gooch, exploring her innovative project, Agitated to Elevated. This DOCCS approved research pilot program combines writing, yoga, self-reflection, and discussions for men at GCCF, with promising outcomes expected.

In collaboration with Sweet Freedom Farm and Mumbet’s Freedom Farm, MovingPotential aims to provide fresh and affordable food options within Greene County Correctional Facility to enhance nutrition and well-being.

Additionally, Sondra continues to lead a weekly class at the Greene County Correctional Facility as part of Wave Farm’s Arts in Corrections program, fostering creativity and self-expression through reflection, writing, meditation, yoga, and dance improvisation. Recently, Sondra received a grant from NYDanceForce to mentor with Ann Carlson, involving both incarcerated individuals and community members, exploring collaborative creative processes.
