Sustaining the People Who Sustain the Work
We tend to those who hold space
so the work can continue —
with clarity, courage, and longevity.
We carry it together.
New Programs

Kristin is launching a bi-monthly yoga class for the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie, supporting their Empower program — a safe space for young people who have experienced or are at risk of sex trafficking.

Sondra is bringing yoga and movement to two correctional facilities: a brand-new class at Shawangunk Correctional Facility (a maximum security facility for men in Wallkill), and a returning program at Greene County Correctional (a medium security facility for men). Both programs are made possible with support from NYSCA/Wave Farm: Arts in Corrections NYS and DOCCS.
Healing Beyond Walls
Sondra and Huw have been connecting with Beau Musacco, an incarcerated individual at New Grants Correctional Facility in New Mexico, who founded Yoga4Prisoners, a powerful initiative dedicated to bringing yoga and mindfulness practices to others inside. Through phone calls and written correspondence, they’ve been helping Beau develop his curriculum — and Sondra is also supporting him to complete the Sadhana Untraining, enabling him to become a certified yoga teacher. What an inspiring collaboration!
We’re so excited about our partnership with Edovo, which brings MovingPotential’s Yoga for Small Spaces video classes to incarcerated individuals nationwide. A big thank you to Tom Krueger and Tempo for filming! Ashni, Suanny, Lea, and Sondra each lead a 20-minute yoga class filmed in a replica jail cell — and these classes have the potential to reach 250,000+ incarcerated individuals across 300+ facilities in 35+ states.
New Zine in the Works!

MovingPotential is collecting submissions for Unsilencing, our new zine featuring voices from those impacted by the justice system — including teachers and community members. Stay tuned for more details!
As ever, we’re grateful for your support!
Your generosity has helped us amplify the voices of formerly and currently incarcerated individuals.
